Yama 2007

February 22, 2007 at 5:57 am (Uncategorized)

its a 100 years into the techy civilisation(courtesy japan n u.s)and we have become highly sensitive towards our approach to life…unfortunately we’ve become slave dogs to technology and without our notice miss every simple pleasure…a very first impression of the world stripped off the present day tech gadgets sounds horrible…

well this is an attempt to describe the worst(sry techy)age we are living in and to this context i choose the sins of the sin god yama on the present day as my theme for the go…not to a major surprise the sins may look more or less the same

-> may you be stripped off your mobile phones for a week

->may your dad cut down your pocket money to 2000 bucks pm

->may your ipods n mini music players go on a strike for a day

->may turtle studios stop conferring you with the updates of counter strike

->may your pentium home studio be attacked with the deadly trojan virus

->may the petrol bunks go on a strike for a day

->may the air conditioners be kicked off this world forever

->may the lifts n escelators everywhere around stop working forever

->may the communists shut down all the multiplexes n pubs around hyderabad

ps: guess there are no communist fans out there :P

Morning Walks

February 7, 2007 at 10:14 pm (Uncategorized)

hmmm…hold on guys…before i get too much criticism lemme explain…i aint kinda guy to get up early in the morning…hav bath…n go for a morning walk…it so happens by accident or that ivent slept the before night n today its the latter…

6 in the morning and iam out of my room wrapped in tight in my new jerk(huh!!pilani’s climate :( )…its still dark enough and this part of the year when the fog is so dense that one could hardly see beyond ten feet from his feet…as i step outside the shankar bhawan(my hostel)i see the doodh wala’s going by their mopeds heading towards the faculty housing area and the grass cutters sharpening their cutters in the age old traditional ways(typical village atmosphere)…as i pass by i see a psenti couple(bitsian slang for lovers)sitting close to each other under the patel statue and enjoying their simple romances( :( …im still a stag ).

its almost like u knoe 28 hrs that i have last eaten and i am literally dying of hunger and the mess bhaia’s are too lazy to serve the food before 7.30…so i thought of going to the nutanmarket jus outside the campus for paratha’s but i jus had a 5 rupee coin which could serve for a cup of tea…but then luckily i had my atm card with me …as i pass by the gandhi bhawan i see the day break n looking at the morning sun was………………….i wud jus say its too sexy…i walk for a couple of minutes and then im in front of the clock tower, the central attraction of BITS(well, there’s a strange belief for BITSians that who ever happens to see the clock tower accidentally before giving an exam,he flops it miserably, for me its otherwise though)…this is the first that i stared at the tower for long say a minute…it was awesome and to its beauty added the early morning golden sun rays…

i draw money from the atm and as i head for the main gate i see a faculty couple walking and i pass by them it was my chem prof mr.nandi who used to take our chem1 in the 1st semester whose classes i have never attended in time(the class was scheduled for 8 in the morning and i attended by 8.20 latest and escape giving stupid reasons every time)…to my surprise he recognised me and said in his typical bengali slang “aaj itna jaldi kaise ut gaye??class pe tho kabhi time pe nahi athe the”…i replied “bukh lagi hai sir”…he was generous enough to invite me to his home for a coffee…i thanked him n 5 minutes of a walk and iam in front of the main gate…as i come out of the campus i see many elderly people practising yogasanas at the birla ypga mandir just outside the campus…in a couple of minutes i was at the chintu bhai’s McD whose parlour’s name board read “SPACALLY FOR STUDANT”

had 3 hot butter paratha’s for jus 6 rupees each and i had a cup of tea and returned back to the hostel and then im here writing this with a soft number in the background…

the morning walks are really amazing and a lot enjoyable…ive enjoyed a lot that the first thing i did after coming to my room was switching on my comp to write this…ive never looked at things like this before…an amazing experience and i add to my list of resolutions(many of them not put into place though)that i should take a morning walk atleast once in 3 days…guss…once a week…so then good bye…time to bed

PS: a fag might give an additional pleasure..(well i dont…that was meant for those who do)
